Dimofinf works to provide the best methods to ensure the highest level of security and protection for our valued customers' data. For this reason, a smart and advanced firewall system has been implemented to perform this task.

The Dimofinf firewall system inspects all incoming and outgoing connections to the server, preventing any destructive or hacking attempts if detected. There are some guidelines to follow when connecting to Dimofinf servers or the websites hosted on them to avoid having your IP blocked by the firewall system.

Dimofinf blocks an IP address under the following conditions:

1. Incorrect login attempts on password-protected directories
   Explanation:Your IP will be blocked after 5 incorrect login attempts.  
   Tips to avoid blocking : Always ensure that the username and password for password-protected directories are entered correctly and without any spaces. 2. Repeated incorrect login attempts (Brute-force attacks)
   Explanation: This includes incorrect login attempts for all website control programs, such as (cpanel, FTP, SMTP, POP3, SSHD).  
   Tips to avoid blocking : Ensure that your username and password are entered correctly when logging in.

3. Incorrect login attempts for email accounts**  
   Explanation : Your IP will be blocked after 5 incorrect login attempts to your email.

4. Incorrect login attempts via FTP**  
   Explanation : Your IP will be blocked after 5 incorrect login attempts to FTP.

5. Port scanning attempts on the server
  Explanation : Your IP will be blocked if you perform a port scan on Dimofinf servers or attempt to access closed ports on Dimofinf servers, such as (2082, 2095, 2086).  
   Tips to avoid blocking : If you encounter issues accessing certain ports or control panels, please open a new ticket directed to the hosting department for assistance.

6. Attempting hacking or DoS (Denial of Service) attacks on the website
   Dimofinf's protection systems monitor, inspect, and audit all connections to server programs and their ports. If any of our security systems detect hacking attempts, intrusion, or damage to the server, such as (DOS, SQL Injection, XSS Attack, etc.) from your IP, it will be automatically blocked.

To find out the reason for the block or request its removal, you can open a new ticket directed to the hosting department for further assistance.

Duration of Blocking

The duration of the IP block depends on the type of error that led to the block. The block may be temporary or permanent.

- Incorrect login attempts : IP block duration is 3600 seconds (1 hour).  
- Port scanning attempts : IP block duration is 10800 seconds (3 hours).  
If the block is permanent, the IP will only be unblocked with intervention from the hosting team.
